Lyn

We hooked up with one of our most fanatical fans to ask her what it is like to be a Deal or No Deal pilgrim.

How many times have you sat in the audience?

It is hard to say exactly as when I first came I did not imagine I would still be coming but I must have seen between 1650- 1700 shows. I am there most days, all 4 shows per day.

What first attracted you to be a “Pilgrim”?

I saw the advert in the paper when the show first started, and it is not too far to travel so thought I would see what it was all about.

What makes you keep coming back?

The show is very addictive and the atmosphere is brilliant.

What is the best thing about being in the audience?

The best thing about being in the audience is that you get to see first hand what goes on and seeing people win life changing money. I have been lucky enough to be in the audience for all the £250,000, winners. well done to all of them.

How would you describe the atmosphere in the Dream Factory?

Amazing, there is a great buzz, all the contestants really do get on well together and want each other to win big. Also every one of the Deal team are friendly and helpful and have time for the pilgrims and make you feel part of the show.

Would you recommend being an audience member?

Definitely when you have been once you will be booking again.

well done to all the team who make our visits most enjoyable and welcoming and for making the show a brilliant success

Deal or No Deal: 80’s Love Mix 13th – 19th February on Channel 4

The Dream Factory is celebrating Valentine’s Day with a week of themed episodes paying homage to the 80’s starting Monday 13th February on Channel 4.

The dry ice and disco ball will be making a comeback as Noel Edmonds leads the contestants through a myriad of 80’s treasures as they attempt to beat The Banker on Deal or No Deal: 80’s Love Mix.

During the Love Week specials, there will be a twist in store as each player gets to choose someone in the wings who they love, to wear the all powerful love mix cassette which enables the player to receive an offer when that box is opened and gives the wearer the opportunity to win a holiday.

An update of Mark’s Fairytale of New York

When Mark took the Walk of Wealth during Deal or No Deal Panto week, he couldn’t have dreamt of the effect it would have on his life.

Mark had brought a photo of his late mother in New York. He wanted to fly out there to find the exact spot. Mark played a brave game, dealing at £35,000. Watch his exclusive interview here.

As part of the deal, The Banker promised to tell Mark where the photo of his mother was taken. As promised at the end of the game, the address was brought out but Mark wasn’t expecting a holiday to New York as part of the deal.

Mark has since been in touch, to tell us that he managed to find the same spot and sent us the photo to prove it! Mark’s good news didn’t stop there. He also wanted to share the arrival of baby George, weighing in at an eye watering 9lbs 7.

A big congratulations to Mark on his £35,000 win and touching story once again.
