Celebrity Deal or No Deal: Sarah Millican

Sunday, April 29th, 2012

Funny lady, Sarah Millican was hoping to rattle The Banker’s funny bone and wallet all in the aid of “Macmillan Cancer Support.” Noel asked Sarah to pluck a ball, which she did, selecting box number seven at random.

It was a good first round, £15K was the highest amount found. The opening offer was a decent £12K – NO DEAL.

£50K was the first real big hit in round two. But two lower amounts meant The Banker offered £15K and Banofee pie! – NO DEAL.

£10 started round three well before £75K and £35K made the board look venerable. The offer was £10K and a cream horn – NO DEAL.

Two reds and one blue, £100 saw The Banker raise his offer to £11K – NO DEAL.

£50 and 10p looked like it was going to be a great fifth round, £250K sting in the tail! A fifth offer of £5.5K was bumped up to £9K but that wasn’t enough to stop Sarah – NO DEAL.

She went on hitting £5K and 1p! Steve got the penny kiss. The Banker finally managed to stop Sarah with £20K – DEAL! Unfortunately 50p meant the offer would have rocketed to £36K. Noel flipped Sarah’s box seven to see £100K ending an emotional and profitable game.

Celebrity Deal or No Deal: Olly Murs

Sunday, April 22nd, 2012

Celebrity Deal or No Deal continued with Olly Murs, who brought along his closest friends & family to open the boxes. Spookily, Olly randomly selected box three, which he also had on the show when he played in 2007.

Rupert was the envy of girls everywhere when he was treated to the penny kiss! £75K was the only red found in the opening round.  Olly said The Banker was “lovely” last time and it was a lovely offer £8.5K – NO DEAL. Olly was playing for his chosen charity, ‘The Brainwave Centre Limited’ so everyone was gutted when £250K went in round two. “The £10 is winking at me” teased The Banker who offered a low £1K – NO DEAL. The Banker thought Olly was destined to win £10 again when £1K, £750 and £20K were wiped from the board. The third offer was £4,010 – NO DEAL.

Olly reached the top of his game in round four. £5K, £10K and 10p led to an offer of £10,010 – NO DEAL. History repeated itself when £100K, £50K and £15K went in the pivotal round. The Banker could be heard laughing down the phone when he offered £2,010. He would let Olly go on one box at a time so – NO DEAL. Olly found £3K and declined £3,010 before hitting £35K, leaving three blues on the board. The Banker offered Groundhog Day on DVD and £25 – NO DEAL. Olly left 50p and £10 on the board. The final offer was £2.99 – NO DEAL. Olly swapped his box last time so he decided to stay put – NO SWAP. Noel flipped box three to see 50p!

Olly Murs to play Deal or No Deal on Sunday

Wednesday, April 18th, 2012

Celebrity Deal or No Deal with Olly Murs, Sunday 22nd April at 18:25 on Channel 4.

Olly Murs is our second famous face to take the Walk of Wealth but fans of the show will know that this won’t be his first time attempting to outwit The Banker.  Back in 2007 before he was the chart-topping pop star he is today, Olly appeared on the show but he was only able to take home £10. Watch Olly’s first appearance here >>>

Let’s hope he fares better for his charity this time around as he continues the brand new series of Celebrity Deal or No Deal.

A great Deal for Jimmy’s Charity

Friday, April 13th, 2012

Last Sunday, Jimmy Carr became the first celebrity to take the Walk of Wealth. He was pitting his wits against the charity hating Banker for Helen & Douglas House.

Jimmy was joined by 22 comics to open the boxes. The Banker couldn’t stop Jimmy who went all the way, in an attempt to bag £35K for the children and young adults’ hospice. Heartbreakingly, Jimmy only had £750 inside his box 22.

You can read all about Jimmy’s game here >>>

Lin Beekar from the charity told us, “We were thrilled that Jimmy played in aid of Helen & Douglas House. Jimmy is a long term supporter of the charity and he has visited both hospice houses several times on private visits, to meet the children, young adults and their families. He spends time with them, chatting and being naturally funny and is a real ‘tonic’ for them and the staff and volunteers.”

As a result of Jimmy appearing on Celebrity Deal or No Deal and talking about the hospice, they have had donations from viewers of around £7,000 so far.

We’d like to thank all our generous fans who have donated to Jimmy’s charity so far.

Celebrity Deal or No Deal: Jimmy Carr

Sunday, April 8th, 2012

Celebrity Deal or No Deal kicked off with Jimmy Carr and 22 comedian box openers. Jimmy had to randomly select a number from a bowl of balls. Jimmy plucked ball 22 which meant, Justin Moorhouse had to carry his box to the Pound Table.

£100K was the only damage in round one. The Banker used bribery to try and get Jimmy out of the game, offering a holiday and personalised bracelet – NO DEAL. Jimmy’s hopes of winning the £250K vanished in round two. After declining £500, Jimmy managed an all-blue round including the 1p! The Banker’s third offer was £10K, which is serious money to Jimmy’s charity – Helen  & Douglas House, a hospice for children and young adults. So Jimmy was brave to say – NO DEAL.

A horrid fourth round included £50K, £75K and £20K. The Banker dropped the offer to £1.4K and Jimmy felt he had little choice but to continue. It was a one box game when £10K left £35K as a lone red on the board. The Banker was unable to stop Jimmy with £3.5K. An all-blue round left £750 and £35K on the board. The Banker didn’t think Jimmy had the courage to turn down the top of his game, £14K. Noel asked the question – NO DEAL. Unfortunately Jimmy had £750 in the death box all along!
