DEAL PANTO COMING THIS CHRISTMAS – OH NO IT ISN’T, OH YES IT IS!

Tuesday, December 13th, 2011

The world of pantomime and fairytales descends on the Dream Factory this December as Noel the Genie oversees proceedings in the hope of granting some Christmas wishes on Deal or No Deal: Deal Panto from Monday 19th December on Channel 4.

This year the Dream Factory becomes a magical, festive world as the contestants transform into some of the most memorable pantomime characters ever. And no Panto is complete without a dastardly villain, who of course will be played by none other than the evil Banker (boo, hiss)!

As always there will be a twist to the game and this Christmas contestants in live play at five box will have the opportunity to rub the Genie’s lamp and choose a wish which could see them continue one box at a time or even walk away with a holiday. However, the wrong choice could let The Banker have a look inside their box or even worse they could end up leaving with a pair of his underpants!

It has been an exciting year for Deal or No Deal, going live for the first time ever, plus two new quarter-millionaires have been crowned. Will The Banker be getting into the Christmas spirit or will he turn Scrooge and add even more members to his infamous 1p club?

Deal or No Deal Live – Steph’s Game

Monday, October 24th, 2011

It began like any other Deal or No Deal Live but it turned out to be anything but! In a special twist, Noel surprised Steph who was sat in the Pilgrims to play the game. Her family and friends were all in on it, they walked on to open a box. Steph’s Mum was at her home with her children watching on. A visibly stunned Steph picked box 17 at random and took the Walk of Wealth.

Unlike Steph her start was far from shaky, 1p was found in the first box with 50p and £250 also found in a fantastic opening round. The Banker wished Noel had plucked a different Pilgrim when he was forced to offer £11.5K! Steph’s luck took a dramatic turn for the worse when £250K and £75K were hit. Her offer crashed to £3K. Everyone in the Dream Factory was stunned when £35K and £100K were also wiped from the board.

The Banker wanted the game to end in tears so he offered ‘a box of tissues!’ Harry delivered a ‘tax free’ £20K which left £5K as the highest amount at five box. Steph was offered £900 but if she declined, The Banker would allow her to go on one box at a time. Steph continued and left herself with £3K and £5K at the climax. In a frantic last minute, Steph chose to swap her box 17 for box 20. Noel flipped the lid to see £5K and bring our fantastic run of LIVE shows to an end with a standing ovation.

Deal or No Deal Live – Ann’s Game

Friday, October 21st, 2011

Ann had the right to remain stunned when Noel walked into Cockett police station! She was whisked into the Dream Factory carrying box 15 down the Walk of Wealth. Ann’s work colleagues were watching on from the cells.

The Banker must have feared the worse when the Welsh woman hit four blues but £250K ruined the opening round. Ann’s collar number was also the first offer, £4,234 – NO DEAL. Vera had the 1p, whilst ‘tax free’ Harry had 10p, leaving nine reds and two blues on the board. The Banker offered £15K – NO DEAL.

£100 was wiped off the board, just one blue remained. That meant an offer of £22K but Ann carried on – NO DEAL. £1K, £35K and £50K took Ann to ‘five box’. It didn’t take her long to bail out with £24K. Everyone hoped she hadn’t Cockett up but £100K wasn’t enough to prevent an offer of £30K. Noel flipped Ann’s box 15 to see £75K but Ann goes back over the bridge with a massive £24K!

Deal or No Deal Live – Jade’s Game

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

Jade had a ‘super’ surprise when Noel turned up on her checkout. Everyone at her local superstore was watching when she carried box 22 down the Walk of Wealth. Jade had a mixed opening round and The Banker promised to deliver the first offer in person! A man with a cloth draped over him came down the Walk of Wealth holding an envelope. Noel joked about revealing his identity, but a Pilgrim took him seriously and marched on set, pulling off the cloth to reveal a Banker in the buff!

‘Tax free’ Harry had 10p, which led to an offer of £12K – NO DEAL. £250K was followed by Betty with £100K! The Banker was buying cheesy nibbles before offering £2K – NO DEAL. He was in the mood to celebrate when £35K and £50K were wiped from the board. £3K was the highest remaining amount at ‘five box’ so the offer was just £300 – NO DEAL. The Banker let Jade continue one box at a time and Jade reached ‘two box’ with £1 and £3K on the board.

Time was quickly running out when Jade was offered £1.5K – NO DEAL. Noel wasted no time, flipping box 22 to see £3K. It was an excellent result considering her rotten luck and she was delighted to check out with £3K!

Deal or No Deal Live – Russell’s Game

Wednesday, October 19th, 2011

Russell had a beeping surprise when Noel turned up at his work in Brighton, before he knew it he was carrying box 5 down the Walk of Wealth. Russell didn’t only have the support in the wings but he also had everyone back in his timber shop in sunny Brighton cheering him on!

£10K, £5K, £100K, £50K and £250K completed the worst opening round in Deal or No Deal history! The Banker was heard laughing down the phone, when he offered ‘rhubarb crumble!’ ‘PJ’ halted the red run with £250 and a few low amounts followed. Russell declined offers of £1K, £1,245 and £7.5K before his girlfriend dealt a big blow, £75K!

He bounced back with 10p, which sent him to ‘five box’. The Banker offered a testing £2,750 – NO DEAL. Betty was delighted to get the penny kiss, £3K and £35K remained at the climax. The Banker put his cheesy nibbles away and brought out some humble pie with an offer of £13K. It was by far the biggest offer of the game so Russell decided to – DEAL! Noel flipped box 5 to see £3K and complete the fantastic turn-a-round.

Deal or No Deal Live – Vivian’s Game

Tuesday, October 18th, 2011

Noel was in Croydon to surprise ‘wheeler dealer’ Vivian! He agreed to come to the Dream Factory and brought box 13 to the Pound Table. But would it prove unlucky for Vivian?

The Banker was running late, which was lucky for him because he missed the 1p! Son, Clinton had it in box 2 and gave his Dad the kiss. Vivian had a family system which was working well, until The Banker arrived with expert timing, £250K gone!

Vivian then went on a red run, swallowing £75K and £35K on the way. Noel managed to break the phone before Harry delivered 10p “Tax free!” The Banker offered £10K at ‘five box’, which Vivian courageously declined.

Unfortunately £100K, £15K and £500 produced a nightmare final round, leaving 10p and £5 on the board. The final offer of £1.50p was declined and 10p sat in box 13.

Deal or No Deal Live – Veronica’s Game

Monday, October 17th, 2011

Veronica had a Whopper of a surprise when Noel turned up at her place of work, Burger King! It attracted a large crowd, some of whom came down to open a box! Everyone back in Birkenhead was cheering Veronica on, including her children and boyfriend, Ray.

A disappointing start saw the £250K disappear in the opening round and Harry deliver £20K tax free! Veronica’s mum, Margaret didn’t help matters with £50K. Veronica declined early offers of a Big Mac, £1.5K and £3K. Dirk unveiled £100K before her Dad found the 1p! Giving us our first ever father & daughter kiss.

Veronica was offered £15K at five box, it was simply too much to turn down – DEAL! Our fourth Quarter of a Millionaire, Tegen was back in the wings with £75k leaving £10K and £35K on the board. The Banker would have offered £20K and £35K was sitting on the Pound Table.

Noel tried to persuade Ray to propose to his wealthy girlfriend but instead he asked where the phone charger was! Veronica left the Dream Factory with £15K and a smile on her face.

Deal or No Deal Live – Kevin’s Game

Sunday, October 16th, 2011

Househusband, Kevin came home to find Noel with his wife. Luckily it was to invite him to the Dream Factory to play Deal or No Deal Live! We had a new look ‘red box club’ in the wings opening the boxes with Kevin’s friends and family. Kevin was hoping to give The Banker a Sunday spanking in front of the nation and he had the full support of everyone back at his ‘local’ in Churdworth.

Kevin did some early damage, £250K, £50K and £35K wiped from the board. Returning player, Leroy got the penny kiss and Candi dealt a sweet 10p. Kevin nearly completed an all-blue round so The Banker was forced to go up to £13K – NO DEAL.

Bing had ‘death box’ 22 which contained £20K and saw Kevin reach five box. Then a moment of bravery from Kevin saw him decline a very good £23.5K offer. His Dad had £100K, which left £1 and £75K on the board. The Banker decided to test Kevin’s resolve with an offer of £19K but Kevin believed fate brought him here – NO DEAL.

The last couple of swaps went The Banker’s way so Kevin stuck – NO SWAP. Noel flipped Kevin’s box 7 to see £75K and spark off wild celebrations! Kevin takes a massive £75K back to Churdworth where the celebrations will continue into the night.

Deal or No Deal Live – Martin’s Game

Friday, October 14th, 2011

Noel dressed up as umm, Noel to surprise Martin at his place of work in Sussex. The warehouse workmen were watching on from the canteen with Martin’s two year old baby boy.

It was a sweet start, Candi opening ‘death box’ 22 to see 50p. Charles then led Martin into the 1p kiss before things turned sour; £75K followed £100K. Live quickies have been proving successful and it helped Martin get back on track.

The offers were coming thick and fast, Martin declining £12K this time. ‘Scruffy Noel’ AKA Graham dealt the blow of £250K, which balanced the board at eight box.

Harry Potter star, Oliver Phelps broke the celebrity curse with £10. £750 then left £15K and £50K on the board. The Banker was forced to offer the governor, £26K. Noel asked the question – DEAL!

Noel flipped Martin’s box 5 to see £50K. It wasn’t a Banker spanking but Martin secures £26K to take back to his growing family and we couldn’t be happier for him!
