A costly year for The Banker so far…

A hat trick of mega-money wins has left The Banker’s wallet feeling lighter in 2012.

Estate agent, James left with £65k in possibly one of the luckiest games of Deal or No Deal ever. You can read about the show here and watch his interview here.

That win must have sparked something in the Dream Factory because soon after Paul left with a massive £70k. The Banker had the last laugh however. Paul could’ve been our first Male Quarter Millionaire. You can read Paul’s touching story here and watch his Interview here.

Belinda stepped up a gear winning the most of the three. Confirming bad things do happen in threes (well if you’re The Banker anyway) read about her massive win here.

We have had 18 red wins and just 2 blue wins up until 23rd January totalling a whopping £387k! It’s a bad time to be The Banker and it could get a whole lot worse.

Good luck to all the player. There is nothing we can do to change our luck.all we have to choose a box’ it could be a blue or a big red so dont feel bad if you get the worse ending, what else can you do? We don’t know what’s inside the box. lol

  12. Phil Brock says:

It must have been three years ago that I first wrote to ask to be a contestant, and I had let it be known to all my friends that I had applied. When the researcher rang me I imagined it was the wife or girl friend of one who knew and was pulling my leg. I was well into the conversation before a understood that this was, ‘for real’, and by that time, I had blown it!
I,m eighty years young this year, and I still hope that I may be considered. In my original contact I had to let it be known that I had been a Headmaster, but I have NEVER considered myself typical of that breed. Still in hope. Phil Brock.

Can you make 2012 a year for me to remember, i got made redundant when i was 62, my sister
is very unwell as is her hubby with cancer.

  26. Lisa Male (Miss Piggy) says:

Like everybody else, I am desperate to get on the show and there never seems to be a chance to apply??? Have recently been in the audience and loved it – my jaw ached at the end of the day from smiling so much. What does it take? Im a happy, positive, nice person (so I’m told). I’ve got quite a few sob storys I could tell you about my life, however I try to learn from them all – part of lifes journey. I’m a mum, a nurse, love chocolate and the colour pink. I always joke to my friends saying I’d be the first person ever to deal at the first round! LOL! If I ever had the chance to buy a new car it would be pink and have the number plate ‘Miss Piggy’.

    Best wishes to you all,

    Miss Piggy xxx

I am a great fan of Deal or no Deal” and watch it all the time.I woud love the opportunity to appear on the show and if i was fortunate enough to win some money this would mean i could visit Haitti and help some of the people. I am from the Caribean but i have been here in this country for seven years,so to help the people of Haitti is very close to my heart.Although i am no working at the moment,as it is not easy to find a job, to win some money would also help myself. I also do voluntary work at the Marie curie charity shop in Holloway, North London and would also like to donate some money to help them as well.I look forward to hearing form you if you would like me to appear on your show
    YOURS SINCERELY

But if I could apply again I now have a Photo of myself to post off. Good luck to all, and give the BANKER a good spanking.

  41. linda s says:

how do i get to apply to get on deal or no deal i really want to talk to the BANKER XXXXXXXXXXX

  42. Libby Company says:

Why does anyone need to know where the money is. I would not feel that the game is totally anonymous whilst anyone knows!!!
Twenty two identical boxes sealed up by an adjudicator with the amounts inside. Adjudicator then leaves room and another independent comes in and randomly attaches twenty two numbers to the boxes in the order they wish. NOBODY then knows ANYTHING.

  43. Lesley Evans says:

Love the show, would like to appear, have been making requests to the cosmic powers but as yet nothing :(

  44. Emma Croydon says:

    Dear Mr Banker

  46. love your show golden anniversary coming up would be nice to take part in your show hope to see you soon good luck

  47. ted coram says:

The main attraction of the show and which makes it so popular is that it is about ordinary people rather than so called celebrities which makes it all the more interesting, that to me is reality.
Hoping for that all important phone call to be a contestant just to be able to pitt my wit`s against the banker and to soak up the atmosphere with the other contestants, here`s hoping.
    Ted Coram

  48. Laura Hagger says:

The show is the best on TV it is always so exciting and I never know what will happen in the show.

I would love to be a contestant and share in the atmosphere and excitement there is in the studio with the other contestants.

    Hope to see you soon

    Laura Hagger

  49. Heather Phillips says:

I am watching Phyl’s game as I write this – Deal’s Easter celebration delivers all the excitement and anticipation we have come to expect from this mesmerising Show. Loving the Easter decorations all around the Dream Factory – only hope one day I can experience the thrill of becoming a contestant myself. I will have to ‘hatch’ a plan to get the Banker ‘egg-cited’.

  50. Robert Hamilton says:

Noel used to talk to all the Newbie’s and introduce them, this allowed viewers to get to know each individual and build up a bit of a relationship as he occasionally involved them during each show.
Now that this does not happen most of the contestants seem like strangers when their turn comes, bring back the old routine please.
